Sassy is a 3-year-old poodle. Sassy and her brother, Rocky, came together from a local rescue when their owner passed away. The ideal situation was to adopt them together but they both had issues with their eyesight. Sassy was completely blind with congenital cataracts and would crawl around and depended on her brother to guide her but he was partially blind also.

We took them into our home when they did not get adopted together. We immediately went to an eye specialist with both of them. After much testing, only Sassy qualified to have one eye fixed. Being that she was only 3 years old and barely getting around, it was a “no-brainer” that she had to get this surgery.

After surgery and months of eye drops, she has gone from being shy and scared to being outgoing and confident. She was very thankful to her eye doctor and loved going there for her checkups. She is a social butterfly now!
