Last year we went through a great deal trying to get permission and permits to build the clinic on our property. We did get approval from the board and Mayor of Camp Verde, but it took months to get a permit and architect drawings completed. We changed our general contractor when the estimate was more than we could afford. Without the help of a certain doner, and Cris and I selling our personal possessions, the clinic would not have become a reality.
Finally, the last week in September, we started building the clinic. The workers have been coming almost every day – even on holidays! Cris and I were helping with the ditch for the electrical line to the building and we have been checking the progress of the building daily.
Today, we were putting in coaxial and data lines and Cris was running the electrical lines to the entire building. I will be doing the tile. We have had some good help with the building, and it might be done as soon as February!
We are not going to know what to do with all the space. I think we will be able to help a lot more animals!

Looking fantastic, thanks for all your hard work and help with our animals.
On another issue, you most like will remember our GSD Ruby girl that had to be euthanized due to a belief she had a genetic kidney disorder.
Not heeding your consultation we rushed out and purchased a 8 week old replacement GSD puppy from a well known breeder. Her genetic line will fill a boo!. She was to be as a he a medium drive girl, move ahead to her 8th month of age and we couldn’t give her the training and exercise she deserves as a high drive dog. We are in our mid 80s and had to make the decision to re-home our girl. It was not in her best interest to try to adjust her to our slower life style. We had owned 7 German Shepherds over 60+ years,,but we really missed with her. In any case she is with our granddaughter and husband who have a 3 year old Shepherd that the two girls get along very well with each other and our girl is being worked with as a Search and Rescue dog.as suggested by several trainers due to her great nose, intelligence and temperament. Our granddaughters husband also is a full time fireman and this fits well with his fire departments training! Love isn’t always the answer, perhaps an older re-homed an older GSD in need of much love? would have been a better match for us? We should of listened to your counsel and familiarity with the breed!
Hello Del,
We have seen some very nice German Shepard dogs come through Verde Valley Humane Society recently, but they were young active dogs and were adopted quickly. I have learned from experience that the animals seem to come find me when I am not looking. They come at the perfect time and I am able to meet their needs. I have lost count how many times this has happened. I hope you find each other soon.
You guys are absolutely amazing!!!!!
Thank you Amber. We hope to see you soon. You are welcome here at the recue anytime.
Sincerely,
Dr. Cinda
I want to help you show my appreciation of you two. You and Chris are the best vets in this area.
I wonder if I have skills that could assist in the process toward getting this project up and running.
Have you expressed your needs anywhere so people who want to support you can know what they are?
Hello Jessica,
Currently we are having contractors working on the new vet clinic daily. Tomorrow the insulation is going in and then the drywall the end of the week. It is going faster than we thought it would. Hopefully we will be in by February. We have not advertised for any help and are not currently having volunteers with all the construction going on. We really appreciate the offer. You are more than welcome to come see the rescue animals if you would like. Many of them love the company.
Sincerely,
Dr. Cinda
For Del Chase….
There is a wonderful GSD at the Sedona Humane Society that is in need of a home – her name is Samantha. She is currently in foster care and is doing well but she really needs her own home. Please check her out!!
